The following drawings of stairs were created in response to either the SketchUp model created in week two or some of the sketches shown in the previous post.
Created for week two's SketchUp model, a folded steel staircase with glass panels underneath and concrete tracing below the steel. The free-standing handrail is steel.
Developed from a sketch from week one, a staircase with glass treads suspended by wires from the floor above. This the staircase descending from above.
Created for the SketchUp model in week two, a staircase emulating columns, the treads alternate between being free standing out of the ground or projecting down from the ceiling.
Designed to be the staircase that ascends from below ground to above. It functions as both a staircase and a retractable desk that rolls on castors.
